Vertiv Expands EMEA Manufacturing Capacity to Accelerate AI Deployment

Vertiv

Vertiv is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Slovakia with approximately 22,000 square meters of additional capacity, targeting the growing demand for power and thermal management infrastructure from AI, cloud, enterprise and high-performance computing environments.

The expansion of the company’s Nové Mesto nad Váhom campus is planned over the next 18 to 24 months and will increase production of power systems, switchgear and thermal management technologies, including advanced liquid cooling and solutions designed for high-density AI workloads.

“As AI and other critical digital applications increase in the region, we continue to invest in our manufacturing capabilities across EMEA. Reducing time-to-token is becoming a key priority for customers, and this investment further strengthens Vertiv’s ability to bring critical power and cooling capacity online faster and at scale.” — Paul Ryan, President, EMEA, Vertiv

The investment reflects a shift in data center infrastructure requirements as AI deployments drive higher rack densities and place greater demands on power and cooling capacity. For customers, the ability to deploy this infrastructure quickly is becoming increasingly important as organisations seek to move AI workloads from infrastructure deployment to business value faster.

Vertiv expects the expanded campus to combine engineering, operations and production capabilities within a more integrated manufacturing ecosystem. The company says this will improve its ability to respond to customised requirements, accelerate delivery and strengthen EMEA supply-chain resilience.

“We envision Nové Mesto nad Váhom as a world-class manufacturing campus where people, technology, and innovation come together to serve some of the most technically advanced customers and demanding applications in the market.” — Chris Hales, VP Operations, EMEA, Vertiv

The project is also expected to create hundreds of jobs between 2027 and 2029 across manufacturing, engineering, operations, supply chain, quality and technical functions.

The Slovakian expansion follows Vertiv investments across multiple global manufacturing locations, reinforcing its strategy of increasing capacity closer to customers.

For hyperscale and cloud providers, colocation operators, neocloud companies and enterprise data centers, the move highlights the growing importance of manufacturing capacity as a strategic component of AI infrastructure deployment—not simply a supply-chain consideration.
