DXC Launches Engineering Division as Standalone Growth Engine to Drive AI-Led Innovation

Ramnath Venkataraman

DXC Technology has unveiled DXC Engineering as a distinct service offering within its Consulting & Engineering Services (CES) organization, strengthening its position in the rapidly expanding digital engineering market. The move formalizes the company’s engineering capabilities into a dedicated business unit focused on delivering AI-enabled, industry-specific solutions at global scale.

Built on the engineering legacy of Luxoft, which DXC acquired in 2019, DXC Engineering comprises more than 11,000 specialized engineers operating across 29 countries. The unit forms part of DXC’s broader 40,000-strong Consulting & Engineering Services organization and is designed to help enterprises accelerate digital transformation through domain expertise, strategic technology partnerships, and intelligent systems engineering.

“With DXC Engineering, we are making a deliberate bet and doubling down on DXC’s unique engineering DNA. We are in the early stages of the software-defined era, and the time is now for customers to turn R&D into software-defined intelligent systems that will help them win in the marketplace.” — Ramnath Venkataraman, President, Consulting & Engineering Services, DXC Technology

The newly established division combines deep industry knowledge with advanced software engineering capabilities across sectors including financial services, automotive, telecommunications, manufacturing, and energy. DXC said the business is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between industry-specific requirements and technical execution, enabling customers to build and operate mission-critical platforms in highly regulated and complex environments.

Among its key strengths is a robust ecosystem of technology partners spanning AI, silicon, cloud, and enterprise software providers. The company highlighted collaborations with firms such as NVIDIA, Murex, and Temenos, which support the development of next-generation platforms for banking, capital markets, automotive software, and industrial operations.

DXC Engineering is also expanding its focus on Physical AI, where artificial intelligence, software, and hardware converge to power intelligent systems in real-world environments. Applications range from autonomous vehicle technologies and smart manufacturing systems to telecom infrastructure and operational analytics platforms.

The company’s scale is already evident across industries. DXC serves 17 of the world’s top 20 banks, supports more than 350 banking and capital markets clients across 70 countries, and provides software embedded in over 50 million vehicles worldwide. It has also delivered more than 3,000 projects across multiple sectors.

With operations spanning 51 delivery sites globally, DXC Engineering is expected to play a central role in the company’s strategy to capitalize on growing demand for AI-driven, software-defined systems and digital engineering services.
