Submer and Edgecore Join Forces for AI-Ready Data Centers

MoU combines advanced thermal infrastructure, power and data center expertise with high-performance open networking for AI and HPC deployments

Submer and Edgecore Networks have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on AI-ready data center infrastructure opportunities across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

The partnership brings together two increasingly critical elements of the AI infrastructure stack. Submer contributes expertise spanning advisory, data center design and build, power infrastructure, IT integration and advanced thermal management, while Edgecore Networks brings open, high-performance networking technologies designed for AI/ML, cloud and high-performance computing environments.

The collaboration comes as GPU-intensive AI workloads reshape data center requirements. Higher rack densities are increasing demands on power delivery, cooling and networking, making it increasingly difficult for organisations to design facility infrastructure and IT systems as separate technology layers.

Under the MoU, the companies will explore joint solution development, customer opportunities and go-to-market initiatives. Their focus will include integrated AI infrastructure design, networking and IT integration, advanced thermal management and coordinated deployment support.

“Customers are no longer simply looking for individual technologies; they need infrastructure that is engineered to work together from the outset,” said Khalid Aljamed, General Manager, Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Submer.

“AI workloads are reshaping the requirements for data center networking, particularly as GPU clusters scale in size and performance,” said Mingshou Liu, CEO of Edgecore Networks. “By combining our networking capabilities with Submer’s expertise in advanced thermal and data center infrastructure, we can help customers address the broader requirements of high-density AI deployments in a more integrated way.”

The partnership also reflects growing investment in sovereign AI, cloud infrastructure and high-performance computing. As organisations move from AI experimentation to large-scale production environments, the ability to coordinate compute, networking, power and cooling from the earliest design stage could become a decisive factor in how quickly new AI capacity can be deployed.
