Cloudflare has expanded its Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Suite with the launch of the AEO Visibility Dashboard, a new tool designed to help brands understand how AI assistants cite, mention and rank them in customer-facing answers.
The dashboard gives website owners a clearer view of whether AI systems are recommending their businesses when users ask relevant questions. It joins Cloudflare’s existing Agent Readiness tool, which checks whether AI agents can find, access and read a website. Together, the tools aim to help marketers assess both technical discoverability and downstream recommendation performance.
Cloudflare said the new dashboard differs from prompt-sampling tools by using network-layer signals, including real crawl activity and referral data from across millions of sites. This allows brands to see not only if they are appearing in AI-generated answers, but also the quality and competitive strength of that presence.
“Being discoverable used to mean ranking on a page. That’s not enough anymore. The agentic era is here, and the moments that matter — like when someone asks an AI for a recommendation and gets an answer back — are happening at scale, invisibly, without most brands knowing if they’re in the conversation at all,” said Stephanie Cohen, Chief Strategy Officer at Cloudflare.
Key metrics include Citation Rate, which shows which AI platforms use a brand’s site as a source; Mention Rate, which indicates whether a brand is named even without citation; Prominence, which measures how strongly the brand appears in an AI response; and Share of Voice, which compares performance against competitors on important customer questions.
The AEO Visibility Dashboard is available in early access through the Overview tab in the Cloudflare dashboard. Cloudflare said the suite is built to give content owners more visibility and control as AI assistants become a growing discovery channel for consumers and businesses.
