DXC Launches Engineering Unit to Drive AI-Powered Transformation

Ramnath Venkataraman

In a decisive move to strengthen its position in the rapidly evolving AI landscape, DXC Technology has unveiled DXC Engineering, a dedicated global unit aimed at helping enterprises design, build and scale AI-powered products, platforms and software-defined experiences.

The launch comes at a time when organizations are accelerating AI adoption but struggling to integrate it effectively into complex, legacy and multi-vendor environments. Recognizing this gap, DXC has consolidated its global engineering expertise into a unified, engineering-led operating model designed to drive innovation while ensuring reliability, security and scalability.

DXC Engineering brings together more than 11,000 engineers under the company’s broader Consulting & Engineering Services (CES) organization, which spans over 40,000 professionals across 70 countries. The initiative builds on DXC’s decades-long experience in delivering mission-critical solutions in highly regulated industries, positioning the company to support enterprises where performance and compliance are non-negotiable.

“The moment is now for customers to turn AI ambition into operational reality. As AI moves from experimentation to production, organizations need partners who can design, build and operate intelligent systems at scale especially where failure is not an option.”

Ramnath Venkataraman, President, Consulting & Engineering Services, DXC Technology

At its core, DXC Engineering is built on the company’s Xponential AI orchestration blueprint, combining AI-native software engineering, industry-specific expertise and proprietary platforms. This integrated approach enables organizations to modernize their environments and operationalize AI at scale.

The impact of this initiative extends across multiple sectors. In the automotive industry, DXC is advancing digital cockpit software, connected vehicle platforms and autonomous driving technologies, alongside its proprietary AMBER platform to accelerate software-defined vehicle programs. In financial services, the focus is on bespoke software and deep integration across capital markets, wealth management and banking systems.

Beyond these, DXC Engineering is also addressing the needs of industries such as telecom, healthcare, energy and defense environments where operational resilience is critical. From factory floors and airports to financial systems, the new unit aims to deliver always-on, secure and compliant technology solutions.

With more than 50 million vehicles already powered by its software, decades of experience in financial platforms and manufacturing systems managing millions of production points globally, DXC is leveraging its scale and expertise to help enterprises transition from AI experimentation to real-world deployment.

The launch of DXC Engineering underscores a broader industry shift where success is no longer defined by AI adoption alone, but by the ability to operationalize it effectively at scale.
