New SVP role underscores push into Europe as demand for sovereign AI infrastructure accelerates
Core42 has appointed Emma Cloney as Senior Vice President, International Sales & Strategy and General Manager, Ireland, to lead its next phase of global expansion.
In this newly created role, Cloney will spearhead the company’s international go-to-market strategy, accelerate commercial growth across key markets, and strengthen Core42’s presence in Europe from its Dublin headquarters. She will also oversee regional operations as the company scales its sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure offerings.
The appointment follows the establishment of Core42’s European headquarters in Dublin in late 2025, positioning the company to tap into growing demand for sovereign AI solutions. With a rising number of European organizations prioritizing data sovereignty and AI-ready infrastructure, Core42 is expanding its GPU-accelerated compute and cloud capabilities across the region.

Cloney brings nearly three decades of experience across cloud, enterprise technology, and global market expansion. Most recently, she served as Managing Director, Global Business Programmes at Google Cloud, where she led global sales and talent initiatives. She previously played a key role in scaling Google Cloud’s EMEA business and has held senior leadership positions at Microsoft and SAP.
