New SDI Services Agent brings real-time visibility, AI-driven orchestration, and outcome-focused operations to enterprise IT

NTT DATA has introduced its Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI) Services Agent, a new agentic, conversational platform designed to transform how enterprises manage and optimize complex, multivendor infrastructure environments.

“The SDI Services Agent enables enterprises to shift from reactive operations to outcome-driven infrastructure.”

– Hani Nofal, Executive, Head of Technology Solutions, NTT DATA MEA

Embedded within NTT DATA’s SDI Services, the multi-agent system acts as an intelligent orchestrator continuously sensing, reasoning, and acting across networking, hybrid data centers, cybersecurity, and digital workplace environments. It enables enterprises to interact with infrastructure using natural language, delivering persona-based insights and real-time operational control.

The platform marks a shift from traditional infrastructure management to AI-driven, outcome-focused operations. By combining real-time telemetry, historical context, and policy guardrails, the SDI Services Agent delivers predictive intelligence, faster issue resolution, and improved utilization across IT environments.

“NTT DATA is redefining infrastructure services with a multivendor, AI-first agentic approach.” – Chris Barnard, Vice President, IDC

Unlike traditional OEM AI tools limited to single-vendor ecosystems, the solution provides enterprise-grade intelligence across diverse, multivendor environments. It also integrates sustainability insights, helping organizations monitor and optimize the environmental impact of their infrastructure.

“Our agentic SDI Services turn infrastructure performance into measurable business outcomes.”

– Dilip Kumar, Global Head, Infrastructure Solutions, NTT DATA

The launch reflects a broader industry shift toward embedding AI directly into core infrastructure. According to NTT DATA’s Global AI Report, organizations are increasingly prioritizing rebuilding core systems with embedded AI capabilities rather than relying on surface-level enhancements.

With its agentic SDI Services, NTT DATA aims to help enterprises move beyond maintenance-driven operations toward a model where infrastructure performance directly contributes to measurable business outcomes improving resilience, reducing costs, and accelerating time to value.
