JAGGAER Launches JAI: The First Intelligent Copilot for Procurement Transformation

From contextual coaching to autonomous orchestration, JAI marks a new era of AI-driven procurement innovation

JAGGAER has introduced JAI, the industry’s first intelligent, human-guided AI copilot designed to revolutionize enterprise procurement. As part of the JAGGAER One platform, JAI (pronounced “Jay”) represents a strategic leap into agentic AI, blending advanced automation with human insight to deliver intelligent navigation, task orchestration, and proactive decision support.

More than a chatbot or assistant, JAI is an evolving ecosystem of AI capabilities embedded directly into the procurement workflow. It begins today with JAI Assist, a conversational assistant offering real-time support in tasks like RFP creation, supplier evaluation, and navigation guidance. But this is only the beginning.

“JAI isn’t about adding AI to procurement. It’s about transforming procurement into an intelligent system—one that learns, adapts, and gets better with every decision.”
— Jon Lawrence, Chief Product Officer, JAGGAER

By late 2025, JAGGAER will roll out JAI Copilot, a contextual intelligence layer that identifies outliers, flags anomalies, and recommends next-best actions across sourcing, contracting, and supplier management—empowering procurement teams to shift from reactive to proactive. The final evolution, JAI Autopilot, will introduce a no-code/low-code agentic system capable of autonomously managing complex workflows, transforming the role of procurement professionals from operators to strategic overseers.

“Today, we’re activating the intelligence foundation for JAGGAER’s future,” said Jon Lawrence, JAGGAER’s Chief Product Officer. “This pragmatic approach—Assist to Copilot to Autopilot—ensures trust, transparency, and transformation at every stage.”

“JAI is not just an assistant—it’s a digital partner orchestrating smarter decisions with human oversight at the core.”
— JAGGAER Product Team

Designed to support forecasting, spend management, contract lifecycle optimization, and more, JAI integrates large language models (LLMs), anomaly detection, GenAI summarization, and domain-specific agents to deliver a truly outcome-driven procurement experience. Importantly, it retains a “Human-in-the-Loop” approach, ensuring responsible, compliant, and contextual AI usage.

As JAGGAER pushes forward on its mission of Autonomous Commerce, JAI signals a foundational shift—not just in procurement tech, but in how organizations engage with enterprise AI. Enterprises are encouraged to join the Early Access Program and help co-create the future of intelligent procurement.
