Tenable has expanded the AI security capabilities of its Tenable One Exposure Management Platform, giving organisations broader visibility and governance across the rapidly growing AI attack surface.
The enhanced Tenable One AI Exposure now supports Google Gemini, alongside Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT Enterprise and Microsoft Copilot. The company has also expanded discovery to major Model Context Protocol (MCP) deployments, AI-native integrated development environments and AI-enabled browser extensions.
The move addresses growing concerns around sanctioned and shadow AI adoption. Tenable said it detected 457 million AI-related security issues across more than 7,000 organisations, averaging approximately 62,000 exposures per organisation over a 30-day period.

Tenable One continuously discovers AI across endpoints, cloud environments and LLM applications, helping security teams identify where AI is being used, assess associated risks and enforce governance policies.
The latest capabilities include Google Gemini monitoring and governance, enhanced visibility across MCPs and AI-native IDEs such as Cursor, Windsurf and Trae, and automated remediation through integrations with Jira and ServiceNow. Security teams can also notify users of policy violations through email, Slack and Microsoft Teams.
Tenable said the platform can help organisations secure both authorised and unauthorised AI usage while reducing exposure before vulnerabilities can be exploited.
Tenable One combines AI Exposure, which focuses on discovering and securing enterprise AI usage, with Tenable Hexa AI, an agentic engine designed to automate security tasks and accelerate remediation.
The company said the expanded capabilities are aimed at helping enterprises establish stronger AI governance while adapting to an increasingly complex AI-driven attack surface.
