Snowflake for Startups combines enterprise-grade AI infrastructure, marketplace access, accelerator support and venture backing to help UAE founders scale
Snowflake is strengthening its support for the UAE’s growing startup ecosystem with Snowflake for Startups, a programme designed to help founders build and scale AI applications on an enterprise-grade data and AI foundation.
The initiative comes as the UAE positions AI and digital infrastructure as key drivers of economic diversification under its ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision. For startups, however, moving from an AI prototype to a production-grade application brings challenges around data governance, security, performance and scalability. Snowflake is positioning its platform as a way to address these requirements from the outset.
The programme provides startups with access to managed AI capabilities, including Snowflake Cortex REST API, which provides a unified interface for working with leading AI models. This allows developers to build and deploy AI applications and agents without taking on the complexity of managing underlying infrastructure.
“The UAE has embraced AI as a core economic driver, and startups here are building to compete globally from the outset. The opportunity is to give them a secure, scalable data and AI foundation that can move from experimentation to real-world deployment.” — Tareq Masoud, Country Manager, UAE, Snowflake
Beyond technology, Snowflake for Startups combines marketplace exposure, accelerator support and venture investment. Startups can gain access to Snowflake Marketplace and its potential customer base, while the Snowflake Startup Accelerator provides engineering and go-to-market support. Snowflake Ventures adds access to capital and strategic relationships.
The programme also highlights how UAE companies are already using Snowflake to operationalise data. Investment platform Sarwa uses the Snowflake AI Data Cloud to bring together information from databases, its front-end, customer service and other systems, creating a shared foundation for reporting, operations, marketing and compliance.
For the UAE’s startup ecosystem, the larger opportunity is to shorten the distance between AI innovation and enterprise adoption. By combining infrastructure, governance, distribution and investment, Snowflake is seeking to make production-ready AI a more accessible proposition for early-stage companies.
