Riverbed, a global leader in AIOps for observability, has been named “AIOps Platform of the Year” at the 9th annual AI Breakthrough Awards, recognizing its innovation and leadership in AI-powered IT operations. The announcement was made on June 30, 2026, in Dubai by AI Breakthrough, a market intelligence organization that honors top companies and technologies driving advancements in artificial intelligence worldwide.

The award highlights Riverbed’s continued efforts in transforming IT operations through AI-driven observability and automation. As organizations accelerate digital transformation initiatives and adopt AI at scale, ensuring seamless digital experiences has become critical to maintaining productivity, operational efficiency, and business continuity.

“The future of IT isn’t just faster reaction times; it’s also about eliminating disruption altogether to improve productivity and accelerate innovation,” said Richard Tworek, Chief Technology Officer at Riverbed.

The AI Breakthrough Awards evaluate winners based on innovation, performance, functionality, and overall market impact. Riverbed’s AIOps platform stood out for its ability to move beyond traditional rule-based automation, enabling predictive and autonomous IT operations powered by real-time data insights.

Riverbed’s platform integrates over 25 years of expertise across applications, networks, devices, and cloud environments into a unified architecture designed to drive autonomous operations. By leveraging AI and machine learning, the platform helps organizations detect and resolve IT issues faster, often preventing disruptions before they impact end users.

The recognition also builds on Riverbed’s recent product innovations, including Riverbed IQ 4.0, a unified intelligence layer for autonomous IT operations, and Riverbed Q, a conversational AI interface for IT teams. Additional capabilities such as AI Assurance for observability and governance, along with enhancements to its Aternity suite like Replay 2.0, High Frequency Analytics, and APM+, further strengthen visibility and accelerate root cause analysis.

“Riverbed is redefining AIOps for a new era, operationalizing AI through autonomous IT operations,” added Steve Johansson, Managing Director at AI Breakthrough.

These advancements are aimed at helping enterprises proactively manage increasingly complex IT ecosystems, particularly as hybrid work models and distributed infrastructures expand the digital attack surface and operational challenges.

The AI Breakthrough Awards program received thousands of nominations from over 20 countries this year, spanning categories such as generative AI, agentic AI, robotics, natural language processing, and AIOps. Riverbed’s win underscores its position at the forefront of AI-powered IT innovation, enabling organizations to transition toward fully autonomous IT environments.

With a global customer base that includes 95% of the Fortune 100, Riverbed continues to play a key role in helping enterprises optimize digital experiences, enhance IT efficiency, and drive next-generation innovation through AI-led operations.
