Digital Dubai announces participation in Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference (GISEC) 2023

H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori: Cybersecurity is a shield offering protection from the risks associated with advancements in digitization, artificial intelligence, and the data revolution.

Digital Dubai announces its participation in the Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference (GISEC) 2023, represented by the Dubai Electronic Security Center as an official partner of the event, which will be held from 14 to 16 March at the Dubai World Trade Center.

The event brings together leading cybersecurity companies and stakeholders from 40 countries, as well as information security managers from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, said: “With each passing day, we grow more certain of the important role of cybersecurity as a protective shield against the risks associated with advancements in digitization, artificial intelligence, and the data revolution. And this makes regional events like the Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference all the more essential, as they create a platform for thousands of people – including experts and decision makers – to meet, discuss prospects for cooperation, and exchange experiences on the latest data security technologies.”

Al Mansoori added.

For his part, H.E. Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, Director General – Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC), asserted the Center’s commitment to participating in the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference to showcase Dubai’s experience in the field of cybersecurity and in implementing best practices and innovations in that regard, in line with the objectives of the Dubai Cyber Security Strategy. GISEC also supports our mission in making Dubai the safest city in cyberspace by identifying the latest trends in the field and building productive partnerships with relevant parties, which enhances Dubai’s position as a global center for advanced technology.”

The Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference brings together high-ranking government figures, leaders in the cyber sector, regional and international innovators, and world-renowned experts, gathered in one place to spearhead cybersecurity transformations across various sectors and countries. The event offers a range of activities focusing on topics related to emerging digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence and its impact on cybersecurity; it also explores future trends in the field, including protecting the privacy of individuals and institutions, as well as the strategies required to raise awareness about digital security. GISEC presents a major opportunity for stakeholders to conclude cooperation agreements and productive partnerships with expert entities from around the world.
