Cloudflare, Deutsche Telekom Join Forces to Secure Europe’s Digital Infrastructure

Cloudflare and Deutsche Telekom

Cloudflare and Deutsche Telekom have entered a strategic partnership to strengthen the security, resilience and performance of digital infrastructure for enterprises across Europe, combining Cloudflare’s global connectivity cloud with Deutsche Telekom’s telecommunications and enterprise services.

Under the agreement, Deutsche Telekom will add Cloudflare’s security and connectivity solutions to its enterprise portfolio, covering applications, networks, data and increasingly critical AI workloads. T-Systems will complement the offering with consulting, integration and managed services.

“By combining Cloudflare’s global connectivity and security platform with Deutsche Telekom’s infrastructure expertise and customer reach, we are helping organizations secure their networks, strengthen their resilience, and accelerate transformations at a global scale.” — Stephanie Cohen, Chief Strategy Officer, Cloudflare

The companies are also directly interconnecting their networks, creating a technical foundation aimed at improving end-to-end network quality and resilience for enterprise customers.

The partnership reflects growing pressure on European organisations to secure distributed, cloud-based and AI-powered environments while maintaining performance and operational resilience. Deutsche Telekom brings its established European infrastructure and enterprise relationships, while Cloudflare provides a global connectivity and security platform.

“With Cloudflare, we are engaging into a strategic partnership that lays the foundation for reliable and high-performance networks across Europe. Our ambition is to help customers advance their digital infrastructure with a very high degree of security and resilience.” — Kerstin Baumgart, Director Wholesale and Member of the Board of Management, Telekom Deutschland

Deutsche Telekom will train and certify its professionals on Cloudflare technologies, enabling customers to access consulting, implementation, operations and managed security services through a more integrated model.

Beyond the immediate portfolio expansion, the companies plan to explore solutions addressing European requirements around security and digital sovereignty. Their collaboration will also examine advanced security technologies, including scalable post-quantum cryptography, as organisations prepare for emerging threats.

The partnership therefore goes beyond a conventional technology channel agreement, positioning network connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud performance and sovereignty as increasingly interconnected requirements for Europe’s enterprise digital infrastructure.
