Tencent Cloud Partners OmniOps to Build Sovereign AI Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

Strategic alliance combines enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with local AI inference technology to help Saudi businesses deploy and scale production-ready AI workloads.

Tencent Cloud has partnered with Saudi Arabia-based AI infrastructure company OmniOps to strengthen the infrastructure supporting enterprise AI development and deployment across the Kingdom. Announced at the 2026 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Summit, the partnership brings together Tencent Cloud’s computing, storage and networking capabilities with OmniOps’ inference optimisation technology and local deployment expertise.

The collaboration addresses a growing requirement among Saudi enterprises: moving AI initiatives beyond experimentation into production environments that can handle increasing workloads, deliver consistent performance and manage computing costs efficiently.

Under the arrangement, Tencent Cloud will provide the underlying cloud infrastructure and technical expertise, while OmniOps will contribute its proprietary inference optimisation engine, local deployment capabilities and understanding of the Saudi market. The combined offering is intended to support enterprise AI platforms and model inference workloads across the Kingdom.

A key element of the partnership is inference optimisation. As organisations deploy larger numbers of AI applications, the cost and performance of running models become critical considerations. OmniOps’ technology adapts model-serving operations to the hardware being used, with the objective of improving computing capacity, reducing token costs and maintaining performance as demand increases.

“By combining Tencent Cloud’s reliable infrastructure with OmniOps’ inference technology and local expertise, we aim to help organisations develop and scale AI solutions more efficiently.”

For Saudi enterprises, the collaboration is positioned as a route to scalable AI infrastructure with local deployment capabilities and an emphasis on data sovereignty.

“Saudi Arabia is rapidly emerging as a leading hub for AI innovation, creating growing demand for scalable computing infrastructure and advanced cloud capabilities,” said Poshu Yeung, Senior Vice President of Tencent Cloud and Head of Tencent Cloud International. He said the partnership would combine Tencent Cloud’s infrastructure and cloud expertise with OmniOps’ inference technology to expand access to resources required for the Kingdom’s AI ambitions.

Mehdi Tantaoui, Chief Product Officer of OmniOps, said the partnership would expand the computing infrastructure available to support the company’s platforms and inference workloads in Saudi Arabia. He added that the company would continue developing AI services around the operational and regulatory requirements of organisations in the Kingdom.

Founded in 2024, OmniOps focuses on AI infrastructure and high-performance computing. Its flagship platform, Bunyan, is described as Saudi Arabia’s first sovereign Inference-as-a-Service platform, supporting text, vision and speech applications while addressing data sovereignty and compliance requirements. The company has secured $8 million in pre-seed funding.

The partnership reflects the growing importance of inference infrastructure in the enterprise AI market. As AI adoption expands, access to computing resources alone is unlikely to be sufficient; organisations will also need optimised model execution, predictable costs and deployment frameworks aligned with local requirements. The Tencent Cloud–OmniOps alliance aims to address these needs as Saudi Arabia advances its AI ecosystem.
