UAE Advances National Vault Initiative to Strengthen Cyber Resilience

UAE

Dell Technologies, CPX and the UAE Cyber Security Council will explore a national capability to protect mission-critical data and improve recovery from cyber disruptions.

The UAE Cyber Security Council, CPX and Dell Technologies have announced a strategic collaboration to advance the development of a National Vault initiative designed to strengthen the country’s cyber resilience and safeguard mission-critical data.

Announced at Ai Everything 2026, the initiative aims to provide an additional layer of protection for critical operational data across government, energy, healthcare, transportation and other essential sectors. It is intended to help organisations improve recovery readiness and maintain service continuity if primary IT environments or conventional security controls are compromised.

“When critical systems are disrupted, what matters is how quickly you can recover trusted data and get back to operating.”

— Hadi Anwar, CEO, CPX

The collaboration brings together national cybersecurity priorities and expertise in data protection, recovery capabilities and cyber resilience. The partners will explore the infrastructure, operating model and governance framework required to support the proposed capability.

According to CPX, the initiative could help organisations protect information underpinning essential services, recover more quickly and sustain operations during disruptions.

“The National Vault aims to give organizations responsible for key public services and national operations an additional layer of assurance around their most critical information.”

— Walid Yehia, Managing Director – South Gulf, Dell Technologies

For Dell Technologies, the focus is on ensuring that critical data remains secure and recoverable under pressure.

The initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader cybersecurity agenda, which emphasises resilience, innovation, capability building and collaboration. Its development is expected to evolve alongside the country’s changing digital and security requirements.

“The National Vault will strengthen this approach by addressing a critical part of the resilience equation.”

— H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government

While the partners have yet to detail the proposed architecture, implementation timeline or operational model, the initiative highlights the growing importance of recovery capabilities alongside preventive security measures. If developed as envisioned, the National Vault could help strengthen the protection of essential services and support the UAE’s ambition to build a secure and resilient digital economy.
