Nutanix Acquires Ryax to Tackle Agentic AI Infrastructure Challenges

Ryax

Ryax’s GPU optimisation and AI-aware scheduling capabilities are set to strengthen Nutanix Kubernetes Platform and Nutanix Enterprise AI.

Nutanix is expanding its enterprise AI infrastructure capabilities with the acquisition of Ryax Technologies, an France-based AI-driven compute orchestration and management platform company. The move is aimed at helping enterprises overcome one of the biggest barriers to scaling agentic AI: efficiently managing fragmented and increasingly expensive compute resources.

As enterprises move AI projects from experimentation into production, demand for GPUs and inference capacity is increasing. At the same time, organisations are spreading workloads across private data centres, hyperscalers and neoclouds to address GPU availability and capacity constraints. This creates an infrastructure management challenge that can undermine both performance and the economics of AI deployments.

Ryax is designed to address that challenge by automating infrastructure, data, hardware and code requirements involved in deploying AI workloads. Nutanix plans to integrate its capabilities into future releases of Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) and Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI).

Two capabilities are central to the acquisition. Intelligent Resource Optimization is designed to improve utilisation of available CPU and GPU resources, reducing infrastructure waste. AI-Aware Smart Scheduling will enable workloads to be placed automatically on appropriate and cost-effective hardware based on performance and resource requirements.

“Across the MEA region, organisations are moving quickly from AI experimentation to deploying intelligent, agentic AI at scale. The acquisition of Ryax Technologies strengthens Nutanix’s ability to help customers optimise AI workloads and make more efficient use of CPU and GPU resources across hybrid environments.” — Reshma Naik, Senior Director for Presales, Middle East and Africa, Nutanix

For Nutanix, the combination is aimed at making hybrid AI infrastructure more transparent and easier to operate as enterprises scale agentic workloads.

“Agentic AI requires a flexible architecture, simple operations and the ability to use infrastructure far more efficiently,” said Rajiv Ramaswami, CEO, Nutanix. “Our acquisition of Ryax helps to directly answer the challenges enterprises face today with agentic AI infrastructure management.”

The acquisition also has particular relevance for organisations balancing AI performance with cost and data sovereignty requirements.

“As enterprises in the region seek to scale AI while managing cost, performance and data sovereignty, this capability will help simplify the infrastructure challenge and enable organisations to focus on turning AI innovation into tangible business outcomes,” said Reshma Naik.

Andry Razafinjatovo, CEO, Ryax Technologies, said the company’s technology was built to provide execution across private data centres, hyperscalers and neoclouds while abstracting backend complexity.

The Ryax team will join Nutanix in France and continue developing the technology. Nutanix said the financial impact of the acquisition is not material.

The strategic message is clear: as agentic AI moves from pilots to production, infrastructure efficiency will become as important as model performance. Nutanix is positioning the acquisition as a way to make that transition simpler, more economical and manageable across hybrid environments.
