New investment will boost manufacturing and testing capacity, create up to 300 jobs and strengthen the company’s role in supporting global AI infrastructure growth
Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure solutions, has announced plans to expand its manufacturing and testing operations across Ireland and the North West as demand for AI, hyperscale and colocation data centre infrastructure continues to surge worldwide.
As part of the expansion, Vertiv plans to submit an application to Donegal County Council for an additional 7,000 square metres of space at its facility in Letterkenny, Ireland. The proposed project is expected to support the creation of up to 300 new skilled jobs, further strengthening the company’s regional footprint.
The announcement builds on Vertiv’s extensive presence across Ireland and the North West, including operations in Letterkenny, Burnfoot and Campsie in Derry, along with its Central Procurement Office in Limerick and sales and service office in Dublin. Since the beginning of 2026, the company has already added more than 500 employees across its local operations and continues to recruit for a range of engineering and operational roles.

According to Vertiv, the expansion will increase manufacturing capacity and enhance expertise in power, cooling and industrialized infrastructure solutions that enable the rapid deployment of AI and data centre facilities globally.
The investment has received support from IDA Ireland and has been welcomed by Irish government leaders, who highlighted its contribution to regional economic development and long-term job creation.
Vertiv said the planned expansion underscores the growing importance of Ireland as a strategic hub within its global manufacturing network while supporting the accelerating demand for critical digital infrastructure driven by AI adoption worldwide.
