New solution helps organizations secure AI agents, control costs, and enforce governance as agentic AI deployments scale across hybrid and multicloud environments
Nutanix has announced the general availability of Nutanix Agent Gateway as part of Nutanix Enterprise AI 2.7, providing organizations with a centralized platform to govern, secure, and monitor autonomous AI agents operating across enterprise environments.
As businesses move from AI experimentation to large-scale production deployments, AI agents are increasingly interacting with business applications, enterprise data, and large language models (LLMs) to automate complex workflows. While these capabilities improve efficiency and innovation, they also create new challenges related to governance, security, compliance, and rising AI model costs.
Nutanix Agent Gateway is designed to serve as a centralized control layer between AI agents, LLMs, and enterprise tools. The platform enables organizations to manage agent access, enforce security policies, monitor activity, and gain visibility into token consumption across AI deployments.

Integrated with Nutanix Enterprise AI, the solution provides consistent governance whether organizations use public cloud-hosted AI models or self-hosted private models. It also helps enterprises optimize AI spending by centralizing token observability across model providers, allowing IT teams to track usage, allocate costs, and identify opportunities to shift workloads to lower-cost self-hosted models.
Key capabilities include governance controls for Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, unified observability across AI environments, comprehensive audit logging, a unified API for accessing multiple AI models, and granular token-based rate limiting to manage consumption and costs.
Commenting on the launch, Mohammad Abulhouf, Vice President and General Manager for the Middle East and Africa at Nutanix, said organizations across the region are rapidly scaling AI initiatives beyond pilot projects. He noted that businesses require governance frameworks built directly into their AI infrastructure to ensure visibility, compliance, and cost control as deployments grow.
With the introduction of Agent Gateway, Nutanix aims to provide enterprises with a secure and centrally managed foundation for agentic AI, helping organizations scale AI adoption while maintaining governance, operational control, and regulatory compliance across hybrid and multicloud environments.
