Trellix Wise for Private Cloud aims to accelerate threat detection and response while keeping sensitive data within an organisation’s security boundary.
Trellix has introduced Trellix Wise for Private Cloud, an on-premises federated AI core designed to help security operations centres (SOCs) investigate threats at machine speed without compromising data sovereignty, governance or cost predictability.
The platform targets a growing challenge for enterprises and government organisations: AI-powered attacks are increasing the speed and complexity of threats, while security teams face mounting volumes of alerts and constraints on adopting AI-based defence tools. Trellix said its new offering enables organisations to deploy agentic AI across on-premises, air-gapped, hybrid and private cloud environments, without sending security data to public large language models or external clouds.

“Our strategy for the AI era is clear: meet AI-powered threats with AI-powered defense.” — Vishal Rao, Chief Executive Officer, Trellix
The platform connects telemetry from AI agents and traditional security tools across existing infrastructure. According to Trellix, it can investigate all received alerts, distinguish potential threats from benign activity using organisational context, and provide actionable response guidance alongside auditable explanations of its conclusions.
Alex Au Yeung, chief product officer at Trellix, said the technology enables organisations to investigate alerts at scale, uncover hidden threats and make faster, more confident decisions.
Cost predictability is another focus. Instead of token-based consumption pricing, Trellix Wise for Private Cloud uses a predictable pricing model intended to help organisations expand AI security capabilities without escalating usage costs. Its governance features include confidence levels, plain-language explanations and detailed records of AI reasoning to support analyst oversight.
Christopher Kissel, research vice president at IDC Security & Trust, said solutions that address adoption barriers without requiring architectural compromises meet a genuine need, particularly among regulated industries and public-sector organisations.
Trellix said the offering builds on nearly 40 years of threat intelligence and its Wise AI technology. The launch reflects the growing importance of combining automation, transparency and data control as organisations prepare security operations for increasingly AI-driven threats.
