New UPS range delivers reliable power backup, surge protection and flexible deployment for home offices, gaming setups and edge computing environments

Vertiv has expanded its power protection portfolio with the launch of the Vertiv PowerUPS 100 Standby Series, a new line of compact uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems designed to protect personal computing, gaming, networking and small business equipment from unexpected power disruptions.

The new series, introduced across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), is available in 230V configurations with both lithium-ion and Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) battery options. The solution is designed to support modern distributed IT environments where uninterrupted connectivity and device protection are increasingly critical.

As organizations continue to adopt hybrid work models and edge computing strategies, power interruptions can lead to productivity losses, equipment damage and data corruption. The Vertiv PowerUPS 100 Standby Series addresses these challenges by providing dependable battery backup and surge protection in a compact, space-saving design.

“In today’s increasingly distributed IT architectures, efficient and reliable power protection is critical. The latest Vertiv PowerUPS 100 Standby Series reflects our commitment to helping customers address evolving technology demands and changing usage requirements.”

The UPS systems are suitable for a wide range of applications, including desktop computers, AI-powered PCs, gaming consoles, wireless routers, smart devices and retail point-of-sale systems. The units feature up to eight power outlets with a combination of battery backup and surge protection capabilities, allowing multiple devices to remain operational during outages.

To enhance usability, the new UPS range includes integrated USB-A and USB-C charging ports for mobile devices and a wall-mountable design that enables deployment in space-constrained environments.

Vertiv has also focused on long-term operational efficiency. User-replaceable batteries help extend product lifespan and lower maintenance costs, while compatibility with Vertiv Power Assist software enables automated system shutdown during extended outages, helping prevent data loss and equipment damage.

The portfolio includes four VRLA models ranging from 500 VA to 900 VA and a 350 VA lithium-ion model. Vertiv backs the VRLA variants with a three-year warranty, while lithium-ion models are covered by a five-year warranty.

The launch further strengthens Vertiv’s end-to-end critical infrastructure portfolio, spanning power, cooling and IT management solutions from the data center to the desktop edge.
