Mai Dubai Accelerates Digital Transformation with Kissflow, Automates 96 Processes

Mai Dubai

Low-code platform enables faster workflows, reduced cycle times, and greater operational agility across the business

Mai Dubai has successfully executed an enterprise-wide automation programme using the Kissflow low-code, no-code platform, digitalising and automating nearly 100 critical business processes within just two years.

The initiative marks a significant step in the company’s journey toward becoming a digital-first enterprise, enabling faster execution, reduced manual workloads, and improved agility across core operations.

Operating with a lean IT team, Mai Dubai adopted Kissflow in late 2024 to address workflow inefficiencies that existed outside its core ERP environment. While SAP remained central to operations, the company required a flexible layer to rapidly build applications, integrate data, and digitise processes without disrupting existing systems.

“Low-code enabled us to digitise workflows without disrupting core systems.”

— Adrian D’Cunha, Head of IT, Mai Dubai

The results have been notable. The organisation has automated 96 processes across functions such as sales order creation, invoice approvals, discount management, and other operational workflows that previously relied on manual intervention or fragmented tools. This has led to a reduction in process cycle times by up to 50%, improving both internal efficiency and external responsiveness.

A key highlight of the transformation is the development of a custom fleet management system built entirely on the Kissflow platform. Instead of deploying a third-party solution, Mai Dubai designed and implemented the system in-house reducing costs while ensuring it aligned precisely with operational requirements.

Beyond large-scale applications, the platform has also enabled rapid innovation at a micro level. In one instance, a merchandising module was conceptualised, developed, and deployed in just 45 minutes demonstrating the speed and flexibility that low-code environments can deliver.

“This is about empowering teams to build and optimise workflows themselves.”

— Prasanna Rajendra, VP EMEA, Kissflow

Adrian D’Cunha, Head of Information Technology at Mai Dubai, said, “Many of our challenges existed around the ERP, not within it.” He added, “Kissflow helped us rapidly build and scale solutions in-house.”

The transformation also reflects a broader shift in how technology is consumed within enterprises. Rather than relying solely on IT teams, business users are increasingly empowered to build, customise, and optimise workflows independently accelerating execution and reducing dependency on external vendors.

Prasanna Rajendra, Vice-President, EMEA at Kissflow, noted, “Automation is no longer IT-led alone.” He added, “It’s about enabling teams to drive continuous improvement themselves.”

Today, Mai Dubai is leveraging the platform not just for automation, but as a foundation for data-driven decision-making. By consolidating workflows and integrating data across systems, the company now benefits from real-time operational insights supporting more accurate planning, forecasting, and proactive decision-making.

As competition intensifies and operational complexity increases, Mai Dubai’s approach highlights a growing trend: enterprises are moving beyond traditional digital transformation toward building intelligent, adaptable systems that combine speed, governance, and scalability.
