Nutanix Brings AI-Ready Hybrid Cloud to Google Cloud with GA of NC2

Nutanix Cloud

New Nutanix Cloud Clusters offering enables enterprises to run and modernise applications and AI seamlessly across on-prem, edge, and Google Cloud environments

Nutanix has announced the general availability (GA) of Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on Google Cloud, marking a major step forward in the evolution of AI-ready hybrid and multicloud infrastructure. The move extends Nutanix’s hybrid cloud capabilities to Google Cloud, enabling enterprises to run, manage, and modernise applications, data, and AI workloads consistently across on-premises, edge, and public cloud environments.

As organisations balance the need for cloud scalability with existing on-prem and edge investments, Nutanix positions NC2 on Google Cloud as a way to remove long-standing barriers to hybrid cloud adoption. The solution provides a consistent Nutanix Cloud Platform experience in the public cloud, allowing enterprises to migrate and operate workloads without refactoring or rearchitecting applications.

Unlike managed cloud services, NC2 remains a software-driven solution, giving customers full control over their deployments and data while eliminating the operational burden traditionally associated with running physical data centres.

“At its core, NC2 on Google Cloud is about giving organisations the freedom to modernise on their own terms,” said Hady Salameh, Senior Regional Sales Lead, SSA, Middle East, Egypt & Turkey at Nutanix. “It enables businesses to extend into the cloud quickly, scale globally, and take advantage of Google Cloud’s AI and analytics capabilities—all while operating under a single, familiar Nutanix model.”

Built on Google Cloud Bare Metal for High-Performance Workloads

NC2 on Google Cloud runs directly on Google Compute Engine (GCE) Z3 and C4 bare metal instances, powered by Titanium, Google Cloud’s next-generation infrastructure technology. These bare metal instances are designed for high-performance, storage-intensive workloads, allowing Nutanix Cloud Platform to run directly on physical servers within a customer’s Google Cloud environment.

This architecture delivers enterprise-grade performance and resilience for demanding workloads such as large databases, mission-critical applications, and AI-driven use cases, while also benefiting from Google Cloud’s elasticity and global scale.

Rapid Global Expansion with Regulatory Flexibility

With availability at GA across 17 Google Cloud regions worldwide, NC2 enables enterprises to deploy full Nutanix clusters in a matter of hours rather than months. This rapid deployment capability allows organisations to expand infrastructure into new geographies quickly, bring applications closer to end users, and meet data sovereignty and regulatory requirements with greater ease.

NC2 on Google Cloud will also be available via the Google Cloud Marketplace, allowing customers to consume Nutanix software using their existing Google Cloud spending commitments—further simplifying procurement and financial planning.

By combining Nutanix’s unified operating model with Google Cloud’s global reach and AI ecosystem, the GA of NC2 on Google Cloud positions the platform as a key enabler for enterprises seeking to modernise infrastructure, accelerate AI adoption, and operate seamlessly across hybrid and multicloud environments.
