New Ballerina Integrator and Devant iPaaS give developers low-code/pro-code agility and built-in AI connectivity
In a major move aimed at empowering developers in the AI era, WSO2 has launched two powerful integration offerings: the WSO2 Ballerina Integrator, an open-source environment, and Devant by WSO2, a next-gen AI enterprise integration platform as a service (iPaaS).
Unveiled at WSO2Con 2025 in Barcelona, these new products are designed to address the growing complexity in integrating artificial intelligence into digital services. They give developers the flexibility to seamlessly switch between low-code and pro-code modes, leverage AI-assisted development, and connect directly with LLMs, vector databases, and other modern AI systems.

At the heart of the new launch is WSO2 Ballerina Integrator, a developer-centric integration environment powered by the Ballerina programming language. It allows developers to toggle between graphical low-code and textual pro-code modes or view both simultaneously, making it easier to tailor the development experience to their needs. Through integration with Microsoft Visual Studio Code, the platform includes a built-in AI Copilot that enables developers to describe integration logic in natural language and generate relevant code, auto-generate test cases, and map data fields efficiently. It also provides native support for building AI agents and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications, thanks to seamless connectivity with large language models (LLMs), vector databases, APIs, and more. To simplify integration further, the platform includes a library of over 200 pre-built connectors.
