New AI-driven enhancements and observability modules empower enterprise IT to predict, prevent, and automate with confidence
Riverbed has rolled out major upgrades to the Riverbed Platform, aimed squarely at helping CIOs and IT leaders transition from reactive monitoring to predictive, automated operations. The expansion includes Generative AI, Predictive AI, and Agentic AI capabilities, alongside new observability modules for Unified Communications, network packet capture, and Intel® Thunderbolt™ and Wi-Fi.
CIOs are under pressure to consolidate tools, reduce incident response times, and extract real ROI from AI. Riverbed’s platform answers the call, enabling unified, AI-powered observability across the digital enterprise—from apps and networks to edge and cloud environments.
Key capabilities now available (or coming soon):
- Riverbed IQ Assist™ – GenAI-powered assistant that offers instant, contextual insights and remediation suggestions, tightly integrated with platforms like ServiceNow.
- Predictive AI – Flags issues before they happen by analyzing historical and real-time telemetry, allowing IT to prevent outages and performance degradation.
- Agentic AI (Q2 2025) – Drag-and-drop automation agents that require no coding, built to streamline complex workflows across the Riverbed ecosystem.
“CIOs need more than visibility—they need precision, predictability, and automation. That’s what our next-gen AIOps delivers.”
– Dave Donatelli, CEO, Riverbed
Three new observability modules for Unified Agent:
- UC Module: Actionable visibility into Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx—reducing help desk noise and improving digital collaboration experiences.
- NPM+ Packet Capture (2H 2025): Advanced diagnostics at the endpoint, even in Zero Trust setups, with support for all major OSes.
- Aternity for Intel® Thunderbolt™ and Wi-Fi: Industry-first visibility into Intel-connected device ecosystems, driving better end-user experiences and device health monitoring.
For data-centric CIOs, Riverbed’s new Smart OTel elevates observability precision—streamlining what telemetry gets fed into enterprise data lakes and AI models and eliminating data overload.
“IT leaders are looking to simplify tool sprawl, reduce MTTR, and proactively optimize performance. The Riverbed Platform delivers all that in a unified, AI-first architecture,” added Donatelli.
All enhancements are available now, except Agentic AI and NPM+ Packet Capture, which launch later in 2025.
