Trend Micro named a Leader in the Forrester Wave: Endpoint Detection and Response

Company ranked first in The Forrester Wave: Detection and Response (EDR) report for Q2 2022.

Trend Micro announced today it has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Q2 2022. The report provides recognition of Trend Micro’s focus on innovation, customer-centricity, and endpoint security.

As one of only three security vendors named a Leader in EDR by Forrester, Trend Micro received 5 out of 5 scores in nine of the criteria’s including investigation capabilities, ATT&CK alignment, extended capabilities, and innovation roadmap. The company’s strengths illustrated in the report align with Forrester’s stance on the value of high-quality analysis, building upon the ongoing efforts of delivering on customers’ current and evolving detection and response needs.

The report follows Trend Micro’s recognition as a Leader in The Forrester New Wave: Extended Detection and Response (XDR) Providers, Q4 2021, The Forrester Wave: Endpoint Security Software As A Service, Q2 2021, and The Forrester Wave: Enterprise Email Security, Q2 2021. The report also states that Trend Micro continues to innovate significantly beyond its public perception, and customers highlight that its interoperability between different parts of the portfolio is a key differentiator.

As per the Forrester Wave findings, “Analysis is the most time-consuming part of the incident response process. To improve the analyst experience, organizations should prioritize vendors that provide relevant, streamlined context for investigation and threat hunting by linking events together, providing timely threat intelligence, and leveraging dynamic risk scoring for processes, MITRE ATT&CK techniques.”
