Collaboration brings Claude-powered capabilities to Tenable Hexa AI, helping security teams prioritize and remediate cyber risks at machine speed

Tenable has announced a strategic partnership with Anthropic aimed at accelerating AI-powered exposure management and strengthening enterprise cybersecurity operations through agentic AI capabilities.

The collaboration will integrate Anthropic’s Claude AI models into Tenable Hexa AI, the agentic intelligence engine powering the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform. The initiative comes as organizations face increasingly complex cyber threats, shrinking windows between vulnerability discovery and exploitation, and growing pressure on security teams to respond faster and more effectively.

Under the partnership, Tenable will leverage Claude to enhance cybersecurity workflows including risk prioritization, remediation orchestration, and exposure analysis across modern attack surfaces. The company said the goal is to move beyond identifying cyber risks and enable organizations to automatically coordinate and execute remediation actions through intelligent AI-driven workflows.

“The volume of exposures is increasing, the time between discovery and exploit is shrinking, and security teams need a fundamentally different approach. With Claude-fueled innovations we are accelerating R&D and our exposure management roadmap, while rapidly advancing solutions like Tenable Hexa AI so customers can strengthen their preemptive security programs, powered by agentic workflows.” — Mark Thurmond, Co-CEO, Tenable

Tenable Hexa AI operates on the company’s Exposure Data Fabric, which combines native telemetry, third-party security data, and threat intelligence from Tenable Research. By consolidating exposure intelligence into a single platform, the solution helps organizations identify critical risks, prioritize remediation efforts, and automate security operations at scale.

The announcement reflects a broader shift within cybersecurity as enterprises increasingly adopt AI not only for threat detection but also for operational decision-making and response automation. Security leaders are looking to agentic AI technologies to address mounting workloads, improve efficiency, and reduce the time required to mitigate vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.

Jason Clinton, Deputy CISO at Anthropic, said the partnership is focused on helping organizations better understand risk, prioritize actions, and respond faster as AI becomes an integral part of cybersecurity operations.

The collaboration was announced alongside EXPOSURE 2026 in Boston, where industry leaders are discussing how frontier AI technologies are reshaping both cyber defense strategies and emerging security risks.

The partnership builds on the recent general availability of Tenable Hexa AI, reinforcing Tenable’s strategy to combine exposure management, automation, and AI-driven intelligence into a unified platform designed to help enterprises proactively reduce cyber risk.

With cyber threats evolving faster than traditional security approaches can manage, Tenable and Anthropic are positioning AI-powered exposure management as a key enabler of future security operations.
