Tenable has announced the general availability of Tenable Hexa AI, a new agentic AI engine integrated into the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform, aimed at helping enterprises automate exposure management and accelerate remediation workflows at machine speed.
The launch comes at a time when large language models and frontier AI systems are rapidly accelerating vulnerability discovery, creating significant pressure on security teams that still rely heavily on manual remediation processes. Tenable said Hexa AI is designed to bridge the growing gap between vulnerability discovery and remediation by automating critical security operations, including exposure prioritization, workflow orchestration, and remediation coordination.

Built on the Tenable Exposure Data Fabric, the platform combines contextualized exposure intelligence with AI-driven automation to help enterprises identify, prioritize, and resolve security gaps across their attack surface. The company said the new engine acts as an orchestration layer that integrates directly with existing IT and security tools, allowing organizations to deploy Tenable agents or build custom AI agents for end-to-end security workflows.

According to the company, Tenable Hexa AI introduces advanced multi-step reasoning capabilities that allow security teams to execute complex workflows through a single request. The platform can also automate remediation tasks such as ticket creation, policy generation, and audit-ready reporting.
In addition, the solution delivers deeper exposure path insights by enabling practitioners to query environments using identity attributes, including privileged accounts and Active Directory groups, helping uncover hidden risks often missed by traditional asset inventories.
Tenable said the platform includes enterprise-grade governance, visibility, and auditability features to ensure trusted and secure automation at scale. Tenable Hexa AI is now available for all Tenable One Foundation and Tenable One Advanced customers.
