ServiceNow University Nears 2 Million Learners as AI Coaching and Simulation Tools Accelerate Workforce Readiness

ServiceNow

ServiceNow has unveiled two new AI-powered capabilities within its ServiceNow University platform, aimed at helping employees, customers, and partners develop practical AI and platform skills faster. The launch comes as enterprises worldwide accelerate investments in artificial intelligence and face increasing pressure to reskill their workforce for the AI era.

The company introduced AI Learning Guide, a conversational coaching assistant, and SimStudio, a hands-on simulation environment designed to bridge the gap between learning and practical application. The enhancements are intended to help learners gain real-world experience on the ServiceNow AI Platform through personalized guidance and interactive practice.

According to the company, ServiceNow University has grown to nearly 2 million learners globally, representing an 80% year-over-year increase, reflecting rising demand for AI and digital transformation skills.

“The companies leading this moment are redesigning how their people learn, adapt, and grow alongside AI,” said Jacqui Canney. “ServiceNow University treats learning as an operating model, helping organizations build adaptive, AI-native workforces.”

“AI skills are becoming the currency of the modern workforce, and organizations need faster ways to turn learning into real-world capability.”

The new AI Learning Guide provides personalized recommendations, certification pathways, and real-time coaching based on a learner’s role, skills, and platform usage patterns. Meanwhile, SimStudio enables users to practice ServiceNow tasks in a simulated environment, allowing them to demonstrate competencies through hands-on execution rather than traditional quizzes or course completion metrics.

ServiceNow said the combined approach helps accelerate time-to-competence by giving learners both guided instruction and practical validation of their skills. The platform’s personalized learning profile tailors recommendations according to job roles, industries, and user behavior, creating customized learning experiences.

“We’ve built the AI platform and now need a learning ecosystem to match,” said Jayney Howson. “ServiceNow University gives people a safe environment to experiment, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to operationalize AI across industries.”

The initiative comes amid growing demand for AI talent. ServiceNow cited projections from the World Economic Forum that AI and data-related skills will be among the fastest-growing job competencies through 2030.

The company also highlighted the business impact of workforce training. According to an IDC study sponsored by ServiceNow, organizations investing in ServiceNow training and certification programs can achieve significant productivity improvements and return on investment through workforce upskilling.

ServiceNow University is available free of charge to employees, customers, partners, and individual learners. The company has also expanded accessibility through new Arabic-language support, with Brazilian Portuguese content currently in development.

With AI adoption accelerating across industries, ServiceNow’s latest enhancements aim to help organizations close skills gaps faster and create workforces capable of deploying and managing AI-driven workflows at scale.
