Riverbed has unveiled a new set of AI-driven innovations for its Aternity platform, aimed at helping enterprises transition from reactive IT management to autonomous, prevention-first digital operations.
The company said the latest enhancements are designed to support modern digital workplace environments by enabling IT teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues before they affect employee productivity or business workflows. The new capabilities are fully integrated into the Riverbed Aternity platform and combine contextual intelligence, observability, and AI-powered automation.
According to Dave Donatelli, the company is now delivering its third generation of AI for digital employee experience, moving beyond chatbots and self-service capabilities toward proactive disruption prevention. He said Riverbed’s expertise across applications, networks, devices, and AIOps positions the company to help enterprises advance toward autonomous IT operations.

Among the key announcements is Riverbed IQ 4.0, an upgraded intelligence layer designed to support AI-assisted workflows and autonomous operations. The platform introduces Riverbed’s new agentic framework, enabling AI-driven actions, intelligent workflow creation, and personalized operational experiences across IT environments.
Riverbed also introduced Riverbed Q, a conversational AI interface integrated with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and ServiceNow. The solution allows IT teams to interact with operational systems using natural language to accelerate investigations and streamline workflows.
Additional innovations include AI Assurance for AI observability and control, Aternity Replay 2.0 for fleet-wide experience visibility, High Frequency Analytics with 1-second telemetry capture, and APM+ for deeper application intelligence within digital experience operations.
Riverbed further highlighted enhancements to its Data Express platform, which enables high-speed operational and AI data movement across cloud and enterprise environments. The company said customers executed more than 250 million AI-driven automation steps in 2025, demonstrating growing enterprise adoption of AI-powered IT operations.
Riverbed confirmed that APM+, Riverbed IQ, Aternity Replay, and Data Express are generally available, while AI Assurance and High Frequency Analytics are expected to launch in summer 2026.
