Debut recognition highlights Nutanix’s rapid innovation with its Kubernetes Platform and commitment to hybrid multicloud simplicity

Nutanix, a global leader in hybrid multicloud computing, has been named a Challenger in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Container Management. This marks Nutanix’s first appearance in the report, following the launch of its Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) last year.

NKP was introduced after Nutanix integrated D2iQ’s Kubernetes technology, enabling the company to deliver a robust, enterprise-ready solution for managing cloud-native applications across datacenters, edge environments, and public clouds. The platform supports both virtualized and bare metal infrastructure, offering flexibility for organizations modernizing their IT operations.

“We’re delighted to be recognized as a Challenger in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Container Management,” said Lee Caswell, SVP of Product and Solutions Marketing at Nutanix. “Our open and complete NKP solution complements our portfolio and simplifies operations across hybrid multicloud environments.”

“Our recognition as a Challenger reflects our commitment to simplifying Kubernetes for enterprises and accelerating cloud-native innovation.”

NKP is already delivering value to customers globally. A leading North American financial services firm is using NKP to streamline platform engineering and reduce operational complexity. In India, Karnataka Bank has adopted Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP) to run critical applications, including mobile banking, fraud detection, and a digital currency solution mandated by the Reserve Bank of India.

“Our customers are digitally savvy, so we must deliver cloud-native applications that are secure, scalable, and always available,” said Venkat Krishnan, CIO of Karnataka Bank. “Nutanix’s Kubernetes support and professional services help us meet these expectations and regulatory requirements.”

Earlier this year, Nutanix expanded its container capabilities with Cloud Native AOS, extending enterprise-grade storage and data services to hyperscaler Kubernetes and bare metal environments—without requiring a hypervisor. This innovation further strengthens Nutanix’s position in the container ecosystem.

The Gartner recognition underscores Nutanix’s ability to execute and its completeness of vision in a fast-evolving space. As organizations embrace cloud-native architectures, Nutanix offers a unified platform that simplifies container management while delivering performance, security, and scalability.
