NTT DATA Appoints Asokan Moodley to Lead GenAI and Industry Advisory for MEA

NTT DATA, a global leader in digital business and technology services, has appointed Asokan Moodley as Head of GenAI and Industry Advisory for the Middle East and Africa (MEA), effective May 1, 2025. Moodley will drive the company’s AI strategy across the region, focusing on client-facing solutions, AI-driven delivery, and industry-specific advisory, especially in financial services and the public sector.

Moodley brings over 30 years of experience in IT, most recently serving as Executive of Generative AI at Nedbank. There, he led the Generative AI Center of Excellence, delivering innovations in banking and setting ethical AI usage standards. His career spans the corporate, public, and financial sectors, where he has led large-scale technology teams and complex infrastructure programs.
