Deal broadens Infoblox’s exposure‑management approach to combat brand abuse, credential theft and external AI‑driven threats
Infoblox has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Axur, a global provider of AI‑powered external threat protection, in a move that will significantly expand its preemptive security portfolio. The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approvals, aims to strengthen how organisations detect and disrupt threats originating outside traditional network perimeters — an increasingly critical battleground as adversaries weaponise AI to scale phishing, impersonation and fraud.
The deal enables Infoblox to integrate Axur’s automation‑driven discovery and takedown capabilities with its own DNS‑layer security and network intelligence. The combined strengths will help enterprises identify brand abuse, data theft, credential exposure and malicious infrastructure much earlier in the attack lifecycle.
“Axur extends our preemptive security offering by giving customers the ability to see and stop external threats earlier, with rapid, AI‑powered detection and takedowns.” — Scott Harrell, President & CEO, Infoblox
Scott Harrell, president and CEO of Infoblox, said attackers are shifting their tactics to operate beyond corporate boundaries. “Many modern attacks now start outside the traditional network, on fake websites, social platforms, app stores and search ads,” he said. “Security teams need visibility into what’s exposed, and Axur gives them rapid, AI‑powered takedowns that disrupt malicious infrastructure before it can be weaponised.”
Axur’s platform automates threat discovery, validation and removal at scale — from phishing sites and fraudulent domains to impersonation campaigns and rogue mobile apps. It can notify new phishing detections for takedown in under four minutes and achieves near‑99% removal success. When paired with Infoblox’s DNS‑based blocking, organisations can reduce attack uptime from days to mere hours.
“Joining Infoblox allows us to scale globally and deliver stronger, more automated disruption of external threats.” — Fabio Ramos, CEO, Axur
The acquisition will enhance preemptive security across three key areas: earlier detection of external threats; faster automated disruption of malicious assets; and stronger protection of brands, executives and customers with far less operational overhead.
Fabio Ramos, CEO of Axur, said the combination brings deeper network context to external threat disruption. “Axur was built to help organisations keep pace with attackers through automation and measurable outcomes. Infoblox allows us to expand these capabilities globally.”
Both companies will operate independently until the transaction closes, expected in Spring 2026.
