New leadership to strengthen IFS’s presence and accelerate expansion in key markets

IFS has appointed Hannes Liebe as the new President of Asia Pacific, Japan, Middle East, and Africa (APJMEA). In his new role, Liebe will focus on driving business growth, expanding IFS’s regional footprint, and strengthening strategic partnerships.

Liebe joined IFS in 2024 as Interim Managing Director for DACH and Chief Operating Officer for North and Central Europe. With previous leadership roles at Finastra and SAP, he brings extensive industry expertise and a strong track record in business transformation and market expansion. His appointment reflects IFS’s commitment to accelerating growth in APJMEA, one of its most strategically important regions.

Expanding IFS’s Presence in High-Growth Markets

IFS views APJMEA as a critical region, with leading enterprises in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Field Service Management (FSM), and Manufacturing Cloud ERP. As Industrial AI continues to reshape industries, IFS anticipates strong growth in the coming years.

“APJMEA presents vast opportunities, and I am excited to drive growth and innovation across the region.”

Under Liebe’s leadership, IFS will invest in high-potential markets, including Saudi Arabia and Japan, while enhancing its partner network to strengthen customer relationships. He will oversee direct and indirect sales channels, ensuring businesses across the region can leverage IFS’s AI-powered solutions to increase efficiency, productivity, and innovation.

Simon Niesler, Chief Revenue Officer at IFS, welcomed Liebe’s appointment, stating:
“Hannes has already proven his leadership at IFS, and I have no doubt he will drive significant growth in APJMEA. His experience will be crucial in strengthening our presence and supporting businesses in their transformation with Industrial AI.”

Positioning IFS for Future Growth

IFS recently surpassed €1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR), with strong momentum in IFS.ai adoption. As the company continues to expand its AI-driven enterprise solutions, Liebe expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities ahead:
“IFS is entering an exciting phase, and APJMEA offers immense potential. I look forward to working closely with our teams, partners, and customers to accelerate growth and innovation across the region.”

Liebe succeeds Vincent Carvalho, who moves to a new role as President of Strategic GTM Initiatives within IFS’s Acquisitions Unit.
