In a landmark partnership, the King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIADC) and Huawei have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at LEAP 2025, set to transform the aviation sector with cutting-edge technology aimed at optimizing airport operations and enhancing passenger experiences. This collaboration aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to redefine the country’s aviation landscape.
Huawei and KSIADC will work together to integrate AI, IoT, and Private 5G-Advanced (5G-A) into King Salman International Airport’s operations, creating smart infrastructure that will redefine how airports serve travelers. A key element will be the development of an AI-powered digital guest platform to enhance wayfinding, improve passenger interactions, and offer personalized services. The partnership will also explore the use of predictive analytics and advanced biometrics to future-proof the airport and its services.

Spanning 57 square kilometers, King Salman International Airport will be one of the largest and most advanced aviation hubs in the world, featuring six runways, six terminals, and an iconic terminal designed to enhance the overall passenger experience. The airport will also include a private aviation hub, a cargo and logistics center, and a comprehensive airport city, incorporating residential, hospitality, retail, entertainment, office, logistics, and industrial facilities. This visionary development positions the airport as a central global hub for business, tourism, and logistics.
