Collaborations with NVIDIA, Supermicro and Netris target faster AI deployment, lower inference costs and secure multitenant infrastructure.
Nutanix is expanding its AI ecosystem through collaborations with NVIDIA, Supermicro and Netris, aiming to help enterprises and service providers deploy production AI faster, simplify infrastructure management and control operating costs.
The initiatives address three areas: CPU performance for agentic AI, private inference infrastructure and multitenant AI services.
Nutanix plans to work towards Day Zero support for NVIDIA Vera CPUs, initially through its Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) on bare metal, with planned expansion to virtualised environments. As AI agents increasingly execute code, retrieve information and call tools between model interactions, CPU performance is becoming important to reducing latency and improving infrastructure efficiency.
“AI agents need fast CPUs to execute code, use tools and process data between model calls,” said Hannah Coutand, Director of Product Marketing for Vera CPU at NVIDIA. She said the collaboration aims to help enterprises bring high-performance agentic AI into production.
“Organisations need more than just advanced infrastructure to move agentic AI into production.” — Thomas Cornely, Executive Vice President, Product Management, Nutanix
Separately, Nutanix and Supermicro plan to develop a jointly engineered system combining Supermicro servers, NVIDIA GPUs, Nutanix Agentic AI software and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking. The solution is intended to simplify on-premises deployment of private inference and reduce integration complexity.
The collaboration with Netris will combine the Nutanix Cloud Platform with Netris network automation and multitenancy technology. The integrated offering aims to provide secure tenant isolation and self-service network operations across bare-metal and virtualised infrastructure, helping AI cloud providers deliver GPU infrastructure as a service.
“Across the Middle East and Africa, organisations are moving beyond AI experimentation and looking for practical ways to deploy AI securely, efficiently and at scale,” said Mohammad Abulhouf, Vice President and General Manager, Middle East & Africa, Nutanix.
The planned solutions reflect Nutanix’s push to help organisations operationalise AI through a consistent cloud operating model. Availability details remain subject to further announcements.
