Nutanix has strengthened its cloud and artificial intelligence portfolio with new capabilities designed to help enterprises deploy, manage and govern production-scale agentic AI across hybrid environments.
The company announced the general availability of Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI) 2.8, alongside the upcoming Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) 2.19, extending the Nutanix Cloud Platform’s dual-native architecture for virtual machines, containers and AI workloads.
“Across the Middle East and Africa, organizations are moving rapidly from AI experimentation to deploying AI in mission-critical environments. Enterprises need the flexibility to run AI alongside the applications and data that already underpin their businesses, while maintaining the security, governance and control required in their respective markets,” said Mohammad Abulhouf, Vice President & GM, Middle East & Africa, Nutanix.
A key focus of the announcement is enabling enterprises to bring AI closer to existing applications and data without undertaking costly infrastructure redesigns. NAI 2.8 introduces enhanced capabilities for AI inference, agentic AI governance and security, including a generally available Model Context Protocol Gateway through Nutanix Agent Gateway.
The platform also delivers advanced private inference capabilities, including multi-GPU serving, parameter-efficient fine-tuning and speculative decoding to improve AI performance and reduce latency.
Meanwhile, NKP 2.19 is expected to simplify Kubernetes and container management across bare-metal and virtualized environments, while introducing an AI applications catalog for deploying validated AI and machine learning tools.
For enterprises across the Middle East and Africa, the announcement comes as organizations increasingly move beyond AI experimentation toward mission-critical deployments. Nutanix’s approach aims to provide greater architectural flexibility while maintaining consistent governance, security and operational control.
NAI 2.8 and Nutanix SP Central are available now, while NKP 2.19 is expected to be released soon.
