VAST Data and CrowdStrike have announced a strategic integration designed to bring enterprise-grade cybersecurity across AI infrastructure, data environments, and AI pipelines. The collaboration combines the VAST AI Operating System with the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, enabling organizations to secure the entire AI lifecycle as enterprises accelerate AI adoption.
As AI moves into production environments, organizations face growing security challenges around sensitive data, AI models, agents, and automated workflows. The joint solution aims to address these risks by integrating security directly into AI infrastructure rather than treating it as a separate layer.
“The security boundary for AI cannot stop at infrastructure. Enterprises need visibility across data, users, models, and AI pipelines to secure the entire AI lifecycle.”
– Renen Hallak, Founder & CEO, VAST Data
The partnership introduces three key capabilities. First, the VAST AI Operating System now provides native support for the CrowdStrike Falcon sensor, extending endpoint protection to AI infrastructure powering mission-critical workloads. Second, VAST audit telemetry will integrate with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, allowing security teams to correlate data access activity with enterprise-wide threat intelligence and detect suspicious behavior more effectively.
The third and most significant enhancement integrates Falcon Guardian, CrowdStrike’s AI Detection and Response (AIDR) solution, with VAST InsightEngine. This enables security controls within AI data pipelines, helping organizations identify sensitive information such as personally identifiable information (PII), detect risky content, and flag potential threats before data reaches AI applications and knowledge bases.
From an analytics perspective, the collaboration delivers deeper visibility into how enterprise data is accessed, processed, and utilized by AI systems. Security teams gain actionable intelligence across infrastructure, data repositories, and AI workflows, improving threat detection and incident investigation.
The integration also addresses emerging AI-specific risks, including prompt injection attacks, jailbreak attempts, and malicious interactions involving AI agents and applications.
Native Falcon sensor support for VAST environments is available immediately, while integrations with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM and Falcon Guardian are currently in private preview. Together, VAST Data and CrowdStrike are setting a new benchmark for AI security by embedding protection across the entire AI operating stack, helping enterprises build trusted, resilient, and secure AI environments at scale.
