- “Gitex is more than an event—it’s a statement of where the industry is headed.”
Gitex 2025 has once again proven to be the epicenter of innovation, where technology leaders converge to showcase breakthroughs and share insights on the future of IT. Amid the buzz of new launches and transformative ideas, we sat down with Serkan Kutlu, Global Chief Strategy Officer at Redington Group, to discuss how the industry is evolving and what Redington’s strategy looks like in this era of rapid change.
Gitex 2025 is buzzing with energy. What’s your take on the significance of this gathering?
This is all about new launches happening across the industry, and what we see here are the main messages that all vendors and companies within our ecosystem want to express. It’s a very important gathering. From the first morning, I was surprised—it’s fully packed, and tomorrow will be even busier. This shows how critical this platform is for collaboration and innovation.
“The era of use cases has arrived. Partners who invest in solving real problems will lead the next wave of growth.”
— Serkan Kutlu, Global Chief Strategy Officer, Redington Group
The IT market has evolved dramatically, but global uncertainties remain. As one of the largest distribution companies, how does Redington view these challenges, and what’s your strategy for this year?
There are always challenges—policy shifts, economic changes, geopolitical tensions—but with every challenge comes opportunity. Innovation is accelerating. A few years ago, we were only talking about cloud; now, security and AI are everywhere. These technologies are fueling growth, and we aim to create more value around them. Yes, there are issues like U.S. tax regulations or regional conflicts, but these will only push us to innovate more. Our confidence lies in turning these disruptions into drivers for transformation.
AI is the buzzword today. How do you see channel partners embracing AI to enhance their business processes?
The industry is moving fast, and channel partners will find their place in this new era. What I see today is partners trying to adapt and understand how they can contribute. At Redington, as a strategic player, we work closely with major vendors to create opportunities for everyone. No one should be left behind. If partners invest in the right areas, they will grow significantly in the next 3–5 years. This is no longer a regional game—scaling globally is possible if you have the right solutions and use cases. The era of use cases has arrived. We no longer talk about technology in isolation; we talk about solving real problems. Any partner who identifies strong use cases and invests in them will unlock growth.
The Road Ahead
As Gitex 2025 demonstrates, the IT landscape is entering a new phase where AI, security, and cloud converge to redefine business models. For Redington, the strategy is clear: embrace innovation, empower partners, and stay resilient amid uncertainty. Serkan Kutlu’s message resonates across the industry—adaptability and collaboration are the keys to thriving in this dynamic environment.
