Veteran finance leader brings over 20 years of experience in scaling global tech companies, following a successful tenure at Altair Engineering.
Tenable has announced the appointment of Matthew Brown as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Brown steps into the role following the transition of former CFO Steve Vintz to Co-Chief Executive Officer, a position he now shares with Mark Thurmond.
Brown brings more than two decades of financial leadership in the technology sector, most recently serving as CFO at Altair Engineering. There, he was instrumental in driving strategic growth, achieving consistent double-digit software revenue increases, and leading the company through its $10.7 billion acquisition by Siemens. His prior experience includes senior finance roles at NortonLifeLock, Symantec, Blue Coat, Brocade, NETGEAR, and KPMG, with expertise spanning M&A, investor relations, and operational excellence.

Brown holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and is a licensed CPA in California.
