Huawei is set to spearhead three pivotal forums at the upcoming SAMENA Council Leaders’ Summit 2025 on May 26th in Dubai. These forums will address the next wave of 5G technology evolution—5G-Advanced (5G-A)—the ongoing telco-to-techco transformation, and sustainable ICT development, key drivers reshaping the digital economy landscape across the Middle East and Central Asia.
“We need to re-evaluate viable paths to sustainable digital transformation as we enter the mobile AI era—this summit is crucial for aligning industry strategies to position the region as a global digital leader.” — Bocar A. BA, CEO, SAMENA Council
The summit arrives as the region ambitiously aims to become the world’s first 5G-Advanced hub, with digital consumption in the GCC surpassing global averages. Industry leaders will explore how 5G-A combined with AI can unlock new monetization models, operational excellence, and unprecedented user experiences, underpinning the region’s digital growth.
Phillip Gan, President of Huawei Middle East and Central Asia, said, “The convergence of 5G-Advanced and AI technologies creates unprecedented opportunities for carriers to evolve from traditional connectivity providers into full-spectrum technology companies. Our forums at SAMENA Council Leaders’ Summit provide the roadmap for this transformation—covering network enhancement, innovative business models, and sustainable operations.”
