As a company – how has Delinea performed in 2022 in the MEA region?

A: 2022 was a milestone year for Delinea as we unveiled our new brand identity to the market. Our mission of providing security that’s invisible to the user, while simultaneously providing IT and security teams with the control they require has resonated strongly with our clients and partners. We have seen incredible reception when we attended LEAP in Saudi Arabia, and GISEC and GITEX in Dubai with the new name.

What are the major cyber security opportunities you have participated in while solving challenges in the market?

As organisations continue their digital transformations, they are faced with increasingly sophisticated and more challenging environments that require an innovative approach to cybersecurity centred on privilege access. However, legacy PAM solutions are not designed for today’s hybrid environments, are too complex, and cannot solve current privilege management challenges.

At Delinea, we believe the opposite of complex isn’t simple – it’s seamless. With our

solutions, users get access to an organisation’s most critical data, devices, code, and cloud infrastructure only when and where they need it, and only for the time needed to complete the task. In this way, we empower our customers with agility, productivity, and security.

What are other milestones you have achieved this year?

As mentioned before, a significant milestone has been the rebranding, and presenting a new company that is much more than a simple merger of two privileged access management leaders. Delinea brings to market a comprehensive platform uniquely built to enable, empower, and secure the modern, hybrid enterprise. And at the same time carries forward and evolves the promises of both original companies.

At a global level, Delinea has been awarded several industry recognitions. For the fourth year in a row, Delinea was in the Leaders Quadrant of Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management. We were also named a “Gold Winner” in the Hot Company of the Year category for Security Software in the 17th Annual 2022 Information Technology World Awards®.

What is your road map for 2023?

Remote work, hybrid IT environments, and new types of applications and endpoints continue to expand the privileged account attack surface. This has created an urgent need for a holistic vision, bringing together PAM capabilities that address traditional and emerging use cases from one unified interface – what Delinea calls Extended PAM.

The extended PAM approach redefines PAM to treat all users as privileged users and address complex IT environments. It ensures scalability by treating identity as the common thread for authentication and applying policy-based authorisation controls to meet zero trust and least privilege best practices.
