Wialon Drives Middle East Fleet Digitalization from Dubai: Building the Software-Defined Fleet for a Smarter Future

Aliaksandr Kuushynau

With fleet management rapidly evolving toward AI, telematics, and sustainability, Wialon is expanding its footprint in the Middle East through its Dubai office. Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon, discusses how the company is empowering partners, supporting digital transformation, and preparing for the next wave of mobility — from EVs to autonomous fleets.

How does Wialon’s Dubai office drive your Middle East operations, particularly for installations and customer support?

Our Dubai office plays a crucial role in bridging global expertise with local execution. It works closely with our headquarters in Vilnius, Lithuania, ensuring seamless coordination across time zones. While our 24/7 customer support operates globally from Lithuania, we also have dedicated specialists based in Dubai from our Customer Service and Technical Growth teams.

These experts help Wialon partners across the Middle East implement projects, manage integrations, and receive training and certification. Additionally, our Business Development team in Dubai supports partners on strategic and commercial fronts, ensuring that fleets in the region extract maximum value from the Wialon ecosystem.

In essence, Dubai serves as our operational and innovation anchor — enabling faster service delivery, localized support, and deeper customer engagement.

“Our vision is to enable the Software-Defined Fleet of the future.” — Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon

Where does the UAE rank in Wialon’s regional priorities compared to markets like Saudi Arabia?

Wialon’s business model is built on collaboration — we operate through a network of service providers, integrators, and technology partners. Our goal is to empower this ecosystem across all Gulf countries rather than focusing on a single market.

That said, the UAE holds a special place for us. It’s where we opened our first Middle East office a decade ago, marking the beginning of our regional journey. Dubai remains a hub for innovation, connectivity, and cross-border business, which is why GITEX Global continues to be the only regional exhibition where we host our signature Fleet Management Hub, featuring Wialon’s capabilities and our partners’ solutions.

At the same time, we’re deeply invested in aligning with national priorities in markets like Saudi Arabia, where the focus on digital transformation and compliance is driving tremendous innovation. Our integrations are tailored to local regulations — whether it’s vehicle tracking standards, driver safety mandates, or fleet analytics — ensuring our partners can stay fully compliant while growing their businesses.

What key challenges does Wialon face in the Middle East, and how are your solutions addressing them in the UAE?

One of the major shifts we’re witnessing is the growing adoption of video telematics. Fleets are no longer content with basic GPS tracking — they expect comprehensive visibility powered by video, AI, and analytics. This helps enhance driver behavior, safety, and operational efficiency.

Wialon addresses these needs through an open, integrative ecosystem. Our platform connects with hundreds of video telematics devices, enabling partners to deliver complete, connected solutions — whether that means monitoring cargo, tracking driver performance, or ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

By consolidating data from multiple sources — sensors, cameras, IoT devices — we help our partners and customers turn raw data into actionable insights. That’s how fleet operations across the UAE are becoming not only smarter but also safer and more transparent.

What are Wialon’s long-term goals for the Middle East over the next 5–10 years?

Our long-term mission is to accelerate fleet digitalization across the Middle East — building on over 20 years of expertise we’ve gained in Europe and North America. We’re focused on strengthening our partner network, expanding our technology ecosystem, and helping fleets of all sizes operate more efficiently, sustainably, and intelligently.

A major milestone in this direction is the Wialon Platform — our latest innovation and a next-generation no-code solution. It enables service providers to build and adapt fleet management systems faster, without needing to write complex code. This means our partners can tailor solutions for specific regional needs — from compliance and analytics to scalability and safety — in a fraction of the time it used to take.

Our vision for the next decade is to help shape a smarter, safer, and greener transport ecosystem, with the Middle East playing a pivotal role. The region’s rapid adoption of digital technologies makes it a perfect testbed for the future of mobility.

How is Wialon preparing for trends like EVs and autonomous vehicles in the Middle East, with the UAE as a potential innovation hub?

The transport industry is undergoing a paradigm shift — vehicles are becoming software-defined, and that’s changing how fleets are managed. OEMs are building the Software-Defined Vehicle, and at Wialon, our mission is to enable the Software-Defined Fleet.

That means integrating vehicles of all types — electric, hybrid, or conventional — into one unified digital ecosystem. Whether you’re running a logistics fleet, a municipal transport system, or a last-mile delivery network, Wialon provides a single interface to manage all assets efficiently, regardless of brand or energy source.

With a team of over 300 professionals dedicated to fleet digitalization, we’re well-prepared to support the transition to connected, autonomous, and sustainable mobility. The UAE, with its national EV strategy and smart city initiatives, offers an ideal environment for these innovations to thrive.

Our goal is to continue developing solutions that give fleet owners greater control, deeper insights, and smarter automation — helping them navigate the next era of mobility with confidence.

Looking Ahead

As fleet management becomes central to the digital economy, Wialon’s strategy in the Middle East reflects both agility and foresight. By combining its global expertise with a local presence in Dubai, the company is empowering regional partners to deliver scalable, compliant, and intelligent fleet solutions.

Under the leadership of Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Wialon isn’t just tracking vehicles — it’s shaping the evolution of connected mobility. With the promise of Agentic AI, sustainability, and software-defined ecosystems on the horizon, the company’s message is clear: the future of fleets is digital, data-driven, and deeply human-centered.
