Cybersecurity giant strengthens leadership as it prepares to expand Tenable One platform

Tenable has appointed Eric Doerr as its new Chief Product Officer (CPO), bolstering its executive leadership at a strategic moment as it prepares to roll out an expanded version of its Tenable One platform.

A veteran with nearly three decades of cybersecurity experience, Doerr joins Tenable from Google Cloud, where he led a wide-ranging security product portfolio, including Google SecOps, Google Threat Intelligence, and played a key role in the Mandiant integration. His prior tenure at Microsoft saw him in leadership roles such as Corporate Vice President of Cloud Security and General Manager of the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC).

“Tenable is transforming how organizations think about and reduce cyber risk.” — Eric Doerr, Chief Product Officer, Tenable

At Tenable, Doerr will lead the global product organization, driving innovation, product strategy, and execution across its growing cybersecurity portfolio. His appointment aligns with Tenable’s aggressive roadmap to deliver industry-leading exposure management capabilities across IT, cloud, and operational technology environments.

“Tenable has a clear and compelling vision for the future of cybersecurity—one that unifies visibility, prioritization and remediation across the modern attack surface,” said Steve Vintz, Co-CEO, Tenable. “Eric’s deep expertise makes him the ideal leader to advance that vision.”

Doerr takes over from Shai Morag, who will remain at the company during the transition period. Tenable expressed gratitude for Morag’s strategic contributions over the years.

With this leadership move, Tenable aims to deepen its role as a trusted security partner for over 44,000 global enterprises, helping them reduce cyber risk and improve resilience.
