Securonix announced the appointment of Bassam Sartawi as the Senior Director for the Middle East and Africa (MEA). In this strategic role, Sartawi will lead the company’s regional sales strategy, drive market expansion, and strengthen customer and partner relationships across key MEA markets.

A seasoned cybersecurity and IT business leader, Sartawi brings more than two decades of experience in growing enterprise technology businesses, expanding channel ecosystems, and enabling digital resilience across organizations in the Middle East and Africa.

In his new capacity, Sartawi will further enhance Securonix’s regional footprint by building strategic alliances and empowering enterprises to bolster their threat detection and response capabilities through advanced cyber intelligence and next‑generation SIEM technologies.

“We are happy to welcome Bassam Sartawi to the Securonix leadership team,” said Cyrille Badeau, Vice President for EMEA at Securonix. “Having worked closely with Bassam over many years, I have developed a deep level of trust in his judgment, integrity, and leadership. His steadfast commitment to delivering tailored security solutions, driving operational excellence, and nurturing key partnerships—combined with his proven leadership in pre‑sales and solutions selling—makes him ideally suited to drive our next phase of growth in MEA.”

Before joining Securonix, Sartawi served as Director, MEA Region at ThreatQuotient, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the customer base, strengthening the channel ecosystem across the Gulf, and consistently delivering year‑on‑year growth. His career includes impactful leadership roles at Z Services, Excel Networking Services, and Datwyler Cabling Solutions, among others.

Commenting on his appointment, Sartawi said, “I am indeed excited to join Securonix at a time when organizations across MEA are prioritizing proactive security. With Securonix’s intelligent SIEM capabilities, we are well‑positioned to help customers strengthen their security posture and stay ahead of sophisticated threats. I look forward to empowering CISOs and their teams across the region with our unified AI‑powered platform that transforms security operations into measurable business value.”

Sartawi holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is widely recognized for his ability to drive high‑impact market penetration and build long‑term value through strong customer and partner engagement within the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Securonix continues to deepen its MEA presence through strategic partnerships that extend the reach of its Unified Defense SIEM platform. These include collaborations with DigiGlass by Redington, which delivers Managed SOC Services powered by Securonix; AmiViz, the Middle East’s leading cybersecurity‑focused B2B marketplace; as well as long‑standing alliances with Help AG and RNS Technology.
