MTN Business has partnered with Cloudflare to become South Africa’s first Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) offering Cloudflare’s Zero Trust and Application Services as a managed solution. This strategic expansion aims to equip businesses across the region with robust, scalable cybersecurity tools tailored to today’s hybrid work environments and evolving threat landscape.
The partnership leverages MTN’s regional connectivity expertise and Cloudflare’s global infrastructure to deliver a unified suite of managed security services. In Q2 2025 alone, Cloudflare blocked an average of 277 million cyber threats daily across Africa, with South Africa seeing 1.5 billion daily DDoS attacks.

Cloudflare’s Application Services enhance and secure web applications, while its Zero Trust solutions verify and protect user access across networks. MTN will now offer these services as part of a comprehensive managed solution, enabling businesses—from SMEs to large enterprises—to strengthen their digital defenses without needing deep technical expertise.
A Forrester Consulting study commissioned by Cloudflare revealed a 238% ROI over three years for organizations using its platform, underscoring the value of integrated cybersecurity.
