Ankabut and Dell Technologies Partner to Scale High-Performance Digital Learning Across the UAE

MoU

MoU brings GPU-as-a-Service and advanced computing to national universities, accelerating research, innovation, and future-ready education

Ankabut and Dell Technologies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to advance high-performance digital learning and research across the UAE’s education sector. The agreement aligns with national priorities to build a technology-first, knowledge-driven academic ecosystem.

Signed by Walid Yehia, Managing Director – South Gulf at Dell Technologies, and Tarek Jundi, CEO of Ankabut, the MoU outlines a collaborative framework to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance computing capabilities to universities and research institutions nationwide. The partnership aims to broaden access to advanced digital infrastructure while strengthening Ankabut’s role as a cloud solutions provider for education.

Operating from its state-of-the-art data centre at Khalifa University, Ankabut currently provides networking, virtualization, cloud, application services, security, and managed support to the education community. Under the MoU, Ankabut will leverage Dell’s GPU-as-a-Service offerings and high-performance computing (HPC) systems to support data-intensive research and advanced learning use cases.

“By combining Dell’s advanced infrastructure with Ankabut’s education cloud expertise, we’re creating a future-ready digital ecosystem for students, researchers, and educators across the UAE.”
— Walid Yehia, Managing Director – South Gulf, Dell Technologies

Dell Technologies will also supply modern client devices, workstations, and infrastructure platforms, enabling institutions to adopt accelerated computing without the complexity of building and maintaining on-premises GPU environments. This approach is expected to improve time-to-value for research programs, enhance teaching outcomes, and enable innovation at scale.

For Ankabut, the agreement expands its cloud services portfolio providing flexibility and elastic capacity to universities seeking secure access to GPUs and HPC resources. The collaboration supports emerging academic demands across AI, simulation, engineering, and scientific research, while maintaining robust governance and performance.

Industry observers note that as universities pursue AI-enabled curricula and research, partnerships that combine trusted connectivity with scalable compute are becoming essential. By uniting Dell’s infrastructure leadership with Ankabut’s education-focused cloud and network expertise, the MoU sets the foundation for a smarter, more connected academic community supporting the UAE’s ambition to lead in digital education and innovation.
