Saviynt Launches Saudi Data Residency Solution on Google Cloud’s Dammam Region

Kamel Heus, Vice President of Sales, MEA, Saviynt

New local deployment enables Saudi enterprises to adopt cloud-based identity security while keeping sensitive identity information within the Kingdom.

Saviynt has launched a data residency solution in Saudi Arabia, enabling organisations to use its Enterprise Identity Cloud platform while keeping sensitive identity data within the Kingdom. The deployment is hosted in Google Cloud’s Dammam region and is designed to support organisations navigating local data protection and compliance requirements.

Available since October 1, 2026, the solution targets government entities, financial institutions, energy companies, telecommunications providers and other regulated sectors accelerating cloud adoption and AI initiatives.

The launch comes as Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) places greater emphasis on the handling and transfer of personal information. Local data residency can help organisations address regulatory obligations while modernising identity governance without managing their own underlying infrastructure.

Identity security is becoming increasingly important as enterprises extend access across employees, applications, cloud environments and AI agents. Saviynt’s platform is designed to help organisations govern identities and access rights while maintaining oversight of sensitive permissions and approvals.

The Saudi deployment provides local hosting for customer data, personally identifiable information (PII), encryption keys, logs and metadata. It also offers a cloud-native software-as-a-service model with AI capabilities and the potential for improved performance through regional hosting.

“Identity is becoming the control plane for AI,” said Kamel Heus, Vice President of Sales for the Middle East and Africa at Saviynt, adding that the deployment combines local hosting with the company’s Saudi legal entity and regional expertise.

Niraj Gopal, Vice President of Product Management at Saviynt, said the solution gives Saudi organisations access to modern identity security capabilities through a scalable, continuously evolving cloud platform.

The launch reflects the growing importance of aligning identity governance, AI adoption and data protection as Saudi organisations advance digital transformation. By offering local hosting alongside cloud-based identity management, Saviynt aims to help enterprises strengthen access controls while meeting their operational and regulatory needs.
