Vertiv Completes KES Acquisition to Expand Liquid-Cooling Services Across EMEA

Vertiv

The deal strengthens Vertiv’s thermal management capabilities for high-density and AI-driven data centres, building on its North American platform established through PurgeRite.

Vertiv has completed its acquisition of King Environmental Services Ltd. (KES), an Ireland-based provider of fluid management, commissioning and load-testing services for high-density, liquid-cooled data centres. The transaction expands Vertiv’s thermal management services footprint across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Headquartered near Dublin, KES brings specialist expertise in preparing and validating cooling systems for increasingly demanding data centre environments. Its capabilities complement Vertiv’s North American fluid management operations, strengthened by the acquisition of PurgeRite in 2025.

The acquisition supports Vertiv’s strategy to provide integrated services across the thermal management chain as AI workloads and higher computing densities increase demands on data centre cooling infrastructure.

“KES builds on the Vertiv fluid management foundation, extending our specialized expertise and disciplined execution into EMEA as customers deploy increasingly complex infrastructure at scale,” said Giordano Albertazzi, Chief Executive Officer of Vertiv.

The combined portfolio is designed to simplify operations by providing customers with a single partner for fluid management, commissioning, testing and ongoing services. Clean, balanced and validated fluid systems can support heat transfer and equipment efficiency, while thermal load testing helps verify infrastructure readiness before facilities become operational.

The expanded capabilities will also help customers manage regional requirements for fluid handling, treatment and disposal, an important consideration as liquid cooling becomes more prevalent in advanced data centre designs.

“As computing density increases, the performance of cooling infrastructure depends not only on engineering and system design but on execution in the field.” — Giordano Albertazzi, CEO, Vertiv

For Vertiv, the deal extends its ability to support customers beyond equipment supply and system design, adding specialised field services as operators scale AI infrastructure across EMEA.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Vertiv said the transaction is not expected to have a material impact on its financial results. The company, listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker VRT, provides power, cooling and IT infrastructure solutions for data centres, communications networks and industrial facilities in more than 130 countries.
