At GISEC Global 2026, the company puts the spotlight on hidden, AI-generated and file-borne threats targeting critical infrastructure.
As cyber threats become increasingly capable of bypassing conventional security controls, OPSWAT is using GISEC Global 2026 to make a broader argument: cybersecurity for critical infrastructure cannot stop at detection. It must examine what enters an environment and neutralise threats before they become operational risks.
Under the theme “Sanitize the Unseen,” OPSWAT is showcasing its newly launched AI Content Inspector, designed to identify AI-generated images, manipulated documents and other forms of content fraud. Integrated with its MetaDefender platform, the technology provides verdicts and confidence scores that can help organisations allow, flag or block suspicious content.
“AI-powered detection is strengthening cybersecurity, but critical infrastructure needs more than detection. Threats must be inspected, sanitised and neutralised before they can impact operations,” said Hussam Sidani, Vice President, META, OPSWAT.
The shift is significant. Malware remains a major concern, but legitimate-looking files carrying fraudulent or manipulated content represent a different category of risk—particularly for government, banking, energy and industrial organisations.
OPSWAT is also demonstrating its interactive mobile Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) lab, covering removable media, secure data transfer, IT-OT security and cross-domain protection. Its Nuclear Plant Model Reactor offers a practical illustration of how coordinated IT and OT controls can protect the availability and integrity of critical systems.
The company’s presence reflects a wider industry transition from reactive cybersecurity towards prevention, segmentation and controlled data movement.
