Snowflake has announced a comprehensive suite of innovations designed to help enterprises transition from AI experimentation to fully operational agentic AI-driven environments. The updates, unveiled at Snowflake Summit 2026, span across key platform components including Snowflake CoCo, CoWork, Horizon Catalog, and its interoperable data platform, delivering a unified foundation for building, governing, and scaling AI.
As organizations move toward autonomous systems powered by AI agents, Snowflake is addressing a critical need: the ability to connect data, business context, governance, and actions across distributed environments. Alongside this, Snowflake Datastream, a managed streaming service for Apache Kafka, enables real-time AI applications by delivering continuously updated data streams within the Snowflake ecosystem.
For business users, Snowflake CoWork introduces a more intuitive, intelligent interface for interacting with enterprise data. New features such as Cortex Sense, Deep Research, and personalization capabilities provide a context-aware AI experience, allowing teams to move beyond reactive queries toward proactive insights and automated decision-making.
On the governance front, the Snowflake Horizon Catalog introduces advanced capabilities to enhance security, visibility, and control. Features like Horizon Context ensure that employees and AI agents operate with a shared understanding of enterprise data, while innovations such as Agent Identity and AI-specific security controls strengthen governance as organizations deploy AI at scale.
Snowflake also emphasized interoperability, introducing new support for Apache Iceberg and open data ecosystems. These capabilities enable organizations to access and analyze data across platforms without duplication, ensuring a single, governed source of truth for enterprise AI.
